Press Release on Royal Government’s measures in dealing with current situation of the Cambodian workers

On 06 July 2017, in order to solve the current chaotic situation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation issued a press release on Royal Government’s measures in dealing with current situation of the Cambodian workers:

  • Calling Cambodian workers to remain calm, while the Thai government announced the suspension of it’s executive decree during a 180-day grace period.
  • The Cambodian Embassy in Bangkok and the Cambodian Consulate-General in Sakeo are to fully and closely cooperate with the authorities at all levels of the Cambodian provinces bordering with Thailand.
  • Minister of Labor and Vocational Training is leading a delegation to discuss with the Thai authorities with the hope to find a favorable settlement for our workers.
  • The top leader of the RGC is intervening with the Thai government in order to find a suitable solution to this situation.
